Notice to the right of the title above, "How to use this website", there is a small white box with a "-" in it.  Clicking on the box will 'hide' the contents of this frame while clicking it a second time will 'reveal' the contents.  Due to space considerations, you will find some pages where the frames are minimized.  Click on the "+" in the white box to the right of the frame title to reveal the contents.

Organization

The information about the services offered by, or accessed thru, the Human Services Department is organized based on the individual or group intended as consumers of the service.  If you're looking for services for yourself and you are under 18 you are likely to find all services available to you under the 'Youth' menu.  On the other hand, if you are visiting this site because you are a looking for a job, then visit the menu item 'Job Seeker'.  Two menu items, 'Administration' and 'Divisions' provide information related to operation of the Human Services Department.

EasyEmail

Anywhere you see this button you can click on it to send an email to the appropriate person to express an interest in a specific topic.  A new email message will open with the address, subject and some of the message already completed.  You will need to enter the missing information before you send the email.  An EasyEmail is distinguished from an email that you might send from a 'regular' hyperlink by the completion of most of the email content.  Just fill in the missing information and press 'Send'.

ToolTip

Some items on the website have a 'tooltip' that will appear if you 'hover' your mouse over the item.  In some cases, it might just be a word or two but in other instances it may tell you more about what is 'behind' the item which will help you to decide whether you want to select the item.  For example, most images have tooltips associated with them that are really not much more than the name for the image.  However, some hyperlinks may include a description of the web page that follows the link.
